This program is not a major in itself but can be combined with any Millsaps major.

The women's studies concentration focuses on the study of gender, women's experiences, and feminist theories. All students begin with a course that introduces the questions raised by the study of women's experiences; the intellectual debates surrounding the issue of gender; and the ways in which the concentration intersects with other fields of study. The program culminates with a senior project – either an independent study or a teaching practicum in the introductory course.
