Admissions Committee
The Admissions Committee assists in activities related to the
Admissions process and recruitment of students to Millsaps College,
including organizing and hosting events for prospective students
and their families; volunteering at College-held Admissions events;
communicating with prospective students via phone, letter, or e-mail;
helping Admissions staff at college fairs; actively identifying
prospective students in the community.

Career Development/Networking Committee
The Career Development/Networking
Committee assists in activities related to career development and
networking, including graduating student job placement and student
internships; organizing and hosting networking and/or recruiting
events; assisting Career Services in organizing/maintaining alumni
career field database; mentoring students in career-related activities
(interview skills, résumé prep.)

Gifting Committee
The Gifting Committee assists
in promoting charitable giving to the College, including helping
with fundraising activities and events; formulating methods to increase
giving; establishing recognition procedures; and identifying, cultivating
and soliciting gifts from fellow alumni.

Visibility-building/Engagement Committee
The Visibility-building/Engagement
Committee has as its focus the promotion of the College and the
Office of Alumni Relations to other alumni and to the area public,
including event planning; communicating a clear, consistent message
about Millsaps; helping keep alumni records up-to-date; encouraging
alumni to communicate, stay connected to Millsaps.

Faculty Support Committee
The Faculty Support Committee
works to encourage and provide support for faculty while fostering
a connection between current faculty and alumni. Initiatives include
sending annual welcome letters and gift certificates to all new
faculty members; organizing and hosting welcome events for new faculty;
promoting, attending, and assisting with faculty events, including
seminars, symposia, performances and programs.
