This course is an introduction to both bookbinding and digital imaging. Ultimately, you will combine these two fields in order to design your own artists' books. The class will design the pages for their books by using several Photoshop processes including photographic manipulation, drawing and layering. Students will bind at least four hard bound books using the following methods: Japanese Stab Binding, Case Bound, Coptic Stitch and a combination structure of their own choosing.
