JACKSON -- After two weeks of patiently waiting to see if the 16th-ranked Millsaps Majors were going to earn an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament Field of 53, the NCAA Division III selection committee announced at 2 a.m. ET Monday that the Majors were not selected as a participant in the 2007 tournament based on in-region criteria.

Millsaps finished the season with an overall record of 35-11 and a 28-10 in-region record, including a pair of quality wins over No. 4 Emory (W, 12-2) and No. 30 Rhodes (W, 11-1), but were not one of the teams selected to join SCAC automatic qualifier Austin College.
