SUWANEE, Ga. -- After
posting a pair of conference road wins over Austin and Hendrix this past
weekend
to improve
to 6-1 in SCAC play and 11-6 overall, junior forward Edrick Montgomery
was named the SCAC Player of the Week – the second consecutive weekly
accolade for Millsaps (Rodney Rogan).
Montgomery chipped in two solid games this past weekend for the Majors
en route to the team's seventh win in eight games and fifth road win in
six games.
"It's an honor to
receive this award and it's the first of my Millsaps career," Montgomery said. "My teammates did a good job getting me the ball this weekend,
but more importantly, we picked up a pair of road wins."
Montgomery posted his third
double-double of the year in Friday night’s
72-63 win at Austin College, going 9 of 15 from the floor for 25 points

on Sunday to top Hendrix College 78-73.
