STERLING, Va. – In a tough, two-game road trip
for Millsaps at then 14th-ranked Centre College and DePauw University
out of the SCAC East, senior forward Edrick
Montgomery averaged
28 points, 11 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game to earn himself a spot
on this week's D3hoops.com

The Pearl native shot 65 percent from the floor (22-of-34) and
80 percent from the charity stripe (12-of-15), where he hit just 67 percent
coming
into the weekend. 
Montgomery tied a career-high with 34 points on Friday
night against the Colonels, knocking down 14-of-19 shots from the floor
and adding 13 rebounds for his 23rd career double-double.
On Sunday
at DePauw, Montgomery scored 22 points to go along with nine rebounds – one
board shy of a second consecutive double-double. He also tied a career-high
with four blocks, giving him seven on the weekend to stay at second in
the league.
Over the previous five road games Montgomery has been unstoppable,
notching four 20+ point games while averaging 24 points, 11.4 rebounds
and 2.0 blocks per contest.
He currently ranks second in the league in blocks per game (2.06), third
in rebounding (8.6) and 11th in scoring (14.4) – two spots behind
senior teammate Rodney Rogan (14.7 ppg).
