After a much needed conference win on Sat., Jan. 28, the Majors of Millsaps College defeated LaGrange College in their last non-conference game of the season.

The game remained a close contest throughout the first half. The contest was tied three times in the first half, lastly at the 2:47 mark. The Majors and Panthers were tied at 22 before the Majors began to pull ahead. By the time the Majors and Panthers went to their locker rooms at the half, Millsaps held a 34-24 advantage in the game.

In the second half, the Majors dominate the Panthers. Millsaps continued the momentum that they had gained at the end of the first half. With 12:30 left to play, the Majors held a 16 point, 59-43 lead. The Panthers could never fight back, and the Majors won the contest, 80-58.

Tyler Warren led the way for the Majors with 18 points. Edrick Montgomery had 11 points and 17 rebounds in the game. Millsaps will next play in Kentucky against Centre College on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
