Millsaps Majors take third straight game by beating the University of Dallas

The Millsaps Majors won their third straight game after their return from the holiday break on Tues. Jan. 10. With the win, the team improved their record to 8-5 for the year.

The Majors dominated the visiting University of Dallas from the beginning of the contest; giving head coach Tim Wise an opportunity to pull his starters during the majority of the game, allowing younger players to gain experience. By the halfway point in the game, Millsaps led 43-22.

The University of Dallas continued to struggle while Millsaps continued to thrive in the second half. The Majors continued to build their lead, eventually winning the contest by a 30 point margin, 69-39.

Every Millsaps player earned game time minutes. Edrick Montgomery and Rodney Rogan continued to lead the way in the point's category for the team. Montgomery garnered 13 points while Rogan contributed 11.

The Majors will resume conference play on Jan. 13 at Southwestern University. The game begins at 8 p.m.
