The Lady Majors may not have
won the second Millsaps Invitational, but they showed promise to win somewhere
down the line. The top two runners were both from Millsaps. Carly Dessauer
was the first finisher with a time of 19.35. Finishing shortly thereafter
was Adrion Wong from Millsaps with a 20.09 finish.
Unfortunately, due to injuries or illness,
Millsaps could not field a five runner team and were not eligible to place.
However, with three of the top 10 finishers (Becky McDole finished 8th),
Millsaps is very excited about the future of the program.
Both the men's and women's cross country
teams will compete in the Rhodes College Invitational on Oct. 2 before
returning home Oct. 9 to run in the MS College Invitational on Choctaw
Trails in Clinton, MS.
