ESPN Radio 1240AM On Board for a Second Season
Tonight's pregame show kicks off at 6:30 p.m. from Clinton

August 30, 2007

JACKSON -- After a successful first season working with Jackson's ESPN Radio 1240 AM covering football, basketball and baseball, Derrel Palmer and his team will return for a second season of football beginning with tonight's game against Mississippi College at Robinson-Hale Stadium.

"I want to lay the foundation for a long-term relationship between Millsaps and Jackson's ESPN Radio," Palmer said. "I think the fans really enjoyed the coverage last season as much as our staff did, and we want nothing more than to bring that excitement back to the Majors this year."

Tonight's game will be broadcast live by a pair of familiar faces in Russ Robinson and William Griffin who not only covered all of the Majors' games last season, but Jackson Prep's as well. Robinson will handle play-by-play duties while Griffin will add color commentary. The pregame show begins at 6:30 p.m.

Beginning this Thursday night at 8 p.m., ESPN Radio will host the Football Coach's Show live from the studio with head coach Mike DuBose and selected guests. The show will air every Thursday from 8-9 p.m.

Also on the air this year is the new "DP Show" which started on Monday with host Palmer. The show airs live from 4-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and covers high schools and colleges around the Jackson area.

Majors fans are welcome to tune into 1240 AM or listen live online at www.espnradio1240.com.
