STERLING, Va. - For
the second consecutive week, a member of the Millsaps Majors football
team has been named to the d3football.com Team of the Week, with
junior running back Tyson Roy landing on the list for top performances
of Week 3.
Roy joins teammate Chris Jackson on the list of recipients on
the season, after Jackson broke the school record for kick return
yards in a game (205) in a 41-38 loss to Louisiana College in Week
2.
Roy accounted for 264 of the Majors' 466 total yards, carrying
the ball 14 times for 117 yards (8.4 avg.) and three touchdowns.
He also hauled in eight catches for 147 yards.
The Majors have an off week Sept. 23 before hosting Lincoln University
(Mo.) Sept. 30 at Harper Davis Field. Game time is slated for a
1 p.m. start.
