SUWANEE,
Ga. – Burt
Pereira, a 6-foot, 160-pound senior receiver for Millsaps has
been named the SCAC Football Offensive
Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 27. 
The
weekly award is the first for the Bush, La., native and it comes
three days after hauling in a career-high 10 catches for 138
yards and two scores
to
pace
Millsaps
to a
49-2 win over SCAC-foe Rhodes.
The
TD catches for Pereira spanned five and seven yards and gave
him his fifth and sixth career
touchdowns receiving, while the 138 yards was the
most by a Major receiver in a single-game this season. Pereira
is averaging 12.4 yards-per-catch with 14 total catches and 174
yards.
The
Majors face one of the conference's top teams in DePauw University this
Saturday in Jackson with kickoff set for 1 p.m. Pregame begins
