STERLING, Va. -- For
the sixth time this season and the second time in as many weeks,
a Millsaps student-athlete has been named to the d3football.com National
Team of the Week. Sophomore defensive back Marcus Harris earns
this week's honor - his second consecutive.
Reigning SCAC Defensive Player of the Week for the past two weeks,
Harris has played a huge role in the Majors success on the defensive
side
of
the ball.
Harris followed up a seven tackle, two interception (49 yard return
for TD) performance in a 31-7 home win against DePauw with another
stellar game at Sewanee last weekend.
The Vicksburg, Miss., native
record three tackles, two pass breakups and three interceptions as
the Majors cruised to a 35-18 win over the Tigers.
The win over Sewanee sets up a Nov. 11 (Homecoming) showdown with
No. 19 Trinity University at Harper Davis Field for the
SCAC crown. Game time is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
