AURORA, Ill. – Junior
quarterback Juan Joseph and senior strong
safety Ray Kline - both of Millsaps College
- on the same week they were named SCAC Offensive and Defensive
Players of the Week respectively, have been selected to
Don Hansen's Football Gazette National Team of the
Week.
The duo become the second and third Millsaps selections this
season, with Joseph earning his second weekly accolade in
another record-breaking season and Kline picking up his first
via Don Hansen.
Joseph enters the Majors' final regular season game with
28 TD passes (two rushing) against just five INTs on 234-of-363
aim, throwing for 2,610 yards and hitting 21 different receivers.
He has
thrown for 300+ yards in 5-of-9 games, including seven with
3+ TDs.
Kline leads the defensive secondary with 14 passes defended,
including three INTs and one 56-yards for a score, to go
along with 36 total tackles (1.5 tackles-for-loss), a forced
fumble and a QB hurry. He will be playing in his final game
at Millsaps on Saturday when the Majors host
Birmingham-Southern at 1 p.m.
