JACKSON – The
Jackson Touchdown Club recently announced the Club's 2007 Most
Valuable Seniors at the last meeting of the season on Monday,
Nov. 26, 2007 at River Hills CC, with Millsaps'
senior defensive lineman and SCAC Co-Defensive Player of the
Year
Casey Younger receiving the award for the Majors.
The club has presented this awards program each year since
1946, the year the organization was founded by the late Dr.
Lacey Hughes, a Jackson native who gathered 15 football fans
together to celebrate the sport.
Celebrating the
program's 62nd anniversary, the Jackson Touchdown Club Most
Valuable Senior Award is one of the oldest and most prestigious
honors
presented by a quarterback or touchdown club in the southeastern
United States.
