field goals for
the
year,
connecting on three... kicked a career-long
37-yard
field goal in the Majors' 44-10 victory at Louisiana College... 20-of-23
on extra points... went six-for-six on extra points and kicked a 20-yard
field goal in Millsaps' 58-6 victory over Birmingham-Southern... booted
two kickoffs for touchbacks... also recorded three tackles (one solo),
including a tackle-for-loss.
2006: Academic
All-SCAC... played
in 10 of the Majors' 11 games... took over kicking duties in the
fourth game of the season... attempted three field goals, making two...
kicked a season-long 36-yarder in the Majors' win over Lincoln University...
16-of-22 on extra points... made all four extra point attempts, kicked
a 27-yard field goal, and scored a touchdown on a
fake field goal in a win over DePauw... recorded six touchbacks on
kickoffs, including three in a loss to Louisiana College... also recorded
seven tackles (two solo)... had a career-high three tackles in a loss
to Huntingdon.
High School: A
five-sport athlete at River Oaks School... a four-year letterman in
football at fullback, middle linebacker and punter/kicker under head
coach Robert Hannah... state champions in 2005... also played soccer
and baseball, ran track and was a member of the swim team.
Personal: Son
of Thomas and Sara Herman... has an older brother, Matthew (24) and
two younger sisters, Abby (16) and Libby (12)... born and raised
in Lima, Ohio... majoring in chemistry.
