CONWAY,
Ark. – After
two weeks of record snowfall and thunderstorms the night before
the practice round, the cery wet and soggy Chamberlyne C.C.
hosted the Hendrix College Spring Classic tournament where
Millsaps slogged to a second place finish.
Led by team
medalist Michael Ameen who fired scores of 80 on both days, Millsaps
combined to shoot 724 (369 + 355) over the 2-day event to finish
behind winner UT-Dallas (617) and in front of tourney host Hendrix
College (819).
Drew McDowell
pumped in a pretty solid tournament as well behind Ameen, carding
an 84 on Day 1, followed by a team-best 79 on Day 2 to finish
with a 163.
Millsaps will
wrap up its spring season next month at the SCAC Championships,
traveling to Danville, Ind., April 25-27 to tee it up with the
league's best. |
