In their first event of the Spring 2006 season, the Millsaps Men’s golf team finished in first place yesterday at the Mississippi College Invitational held at Patrick Farms Golf Course. Millsaps shot a team score of 317 to beat Mississippi College by four strokes.

The Majors were led by junior Chad Tobler’s score of 76. Tobler’s score was low enough to place him second in individual scoring.

This win marks head coach Scott Essex’s first team victory as head college coach. Essex is now in his second year leading the Majors.
