JACKSON, Miss. – Head Women’s Basketball Coach Robin Jeffries has announced her resignation from the Millsaps Athletic Department. Jeffries has accepted the position as Spring Hill women's basketball head coach.
 
Jeffries has been the women’s basketball coach at Millsaps since the 2000-2001 season. While at Millsaps Jeffries compiled a 48-100 (20-72 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) overall record. A native of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Jeffries also served as Senior Women’s Administrator for the athletic department.

Jeffries played basketball at Brookhaven Academy and received a full scholarship to compete on the collegiate level at Mississippi State University.She came to Millsaps after heading the women’s basketball team at Klein High School in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, she coached at St. Pius X High School
in Houston for seven years. In her ten years at the high school level, Jeffries compiled a sterling record of 200-50 (.800).
  
Prior to Millsaps, she was a teacher and girls' basketball coach at Klein High School (1997-99) and St. Pius High School (1990-97) in Houston, Texas. Jeffries graduated from Southern Miss in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology after transferring from Mississippi State in 1988.  She earned her Master of Science degree in 1997 from the University of Houston. 

Coach Jeffries looks forward to the new challenges that await her at Spring Hill. "I am excited about the opportunity to coach within an environment that has a great tradition of academic excellence, a community willing to help and an athletic program that believes in academics and athletics for the student-athletes.  I want to thank Coach Westbrook and Coach Hood for giving me the chance to excel within the basketball program."
 
Jeffries will join the Spring Hill College athletic staff this summer.
