SUWANEE, Ga. – In
exclusive voting by the head men's soccer coaches of the Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and released late Wednesday
afternoon, senior defender and co-captain Heath Smith has been
selected to the 2007 All-SCAC Third Team.
A product of Cinco Ranch HS in Katy, Texas, Smith started in all
17 matches for the Majors in 2007 on the defensive backline, leading
Millsaps to its first three-win season in league play
since 1999. 
Smith
was the deciding factor in helping the Majors accomplish their
third SCAC win – a
4-3 come-from-behind win at Sewanee –
scoring a pair of goals in the 65th and 78th minute to cap off
perhaps the greatest comeback in SCAC men's soccer history after
trailing 3-0 at the half.
The Third Team selection is the second of Smith's career after
being named to the team in 2005.
