MISSION, Kan. -- As announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), junior defender Julia Fell has been selected as an honorable mention to the Academic All-South Region Team.

A classic studies major from Shreveport, La., Fell carries a 3.78 GPA and has also been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team the previous two seasons – 2006 honors have yet to be determined.

Fell has not only excelled in the classroom, but on the playing field as well. The junior has started in 49 of 51 games through her first three seasons and also earned team defensive MVP honors her sophomore year.

Fell helped anchor a Millsaps defense that posted three shutout wins and the school’s lowest goals against average since the 1994 season.
