MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Millsaps softball team split a Saturday afternoon double-header with Emory University (Atlanta, Ga.). The Majors had to contend not only with the Eagles, but the weather as well. A steady rain mixed with some sleet fell during both games.
The Lady Majors picked up their first win of the season, beating the Eagles by a final score of 7-6. Millsaps jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning, then allowed Emory to work themselves back into the ballgame, before hanging on for the victory.
Millsaps dropped the final score of 7-2. This brings the Lady Majors season record to 1-5.
