SUWANEE, Ga. --
After falling three votes shy of Rhodes senior Daniel Hammond (17) for the 10th
and final spot on the 2007 All-SCAC Team, senior captain Russell
Turley has been named an All-SCAC Honorable Mention for
the third
consecutive year, posting a 14-4 record in singles play at No.
1 and No. 2 and a 10-7 record
in doubles action. 
A product of Mountain Brook HS in
Birmingham, Ala., Turley has compiled a career record of 36-24
(.600) in singles play and a 33-26 (.559) record in doubles while
gaining Academic All-SCAC and All-SCAC Tournament Team recognition
throughout his four-year trek.
Coaches voted
for 10 players in rank order, with a first-place vote worth 10
points, a second place vote worth nine points, on
down to a 10th place vote being worth one point. The top 10 players
were named All-SCAC and any player beyond the top 10 that received
votes were named honorable mention.
