The Majors were able to defeat Connecticut College 4-3 to raise their record to 4-2 on the season. 

Russell Turley started the Majors off with a win at number one, dismantling of Dave Kellogg 6-4, 6-1. Freshman sensation Chris Rolen of Baton Rouge, La. defeated Ben Shearman 6-4,6-2 to improve the Majors lead to 2-0.  Wes Hill and Travis Scharr both fell to tie the score 2-2.  Trevor Harris continued his winning ways with a 6-4,7-6(4) win over Chris Corby at number six to make it 3-2. 

Tim Shoptaugh, Baton Rouge, La. played well enough to win, but couldn’t overcome the unforced errors and fine play of Ned Minevitz 7-6(1),6-2, and the match was knotted at 3.

Tied 3-3 going into the doubles, the Majors took two of three to win the match 4-3.  Turley and Shoptaugh got back on the winning track with an 8-3 victory over Jones and Kellogg. Hill and Harris put the final nail in with a sound 8-2 thrashing of Corby and Sherman.
