SUWANEE, Ga. -- After posting a 10-5 record at No's 1 and 2 singles and a 14-4 mark in doubles action in the same slots, freshman Allison Zakaras of Gulfport has been named a 2007 All-SCAC Honorable Mention selection as voted upon by the coaches.

Zakaras, a five-time 5A District Champion in singles and doubles at Gulfport HS, tied with fellow teammate Beth Fossen for the best win percentage by a Major this season (.667) amongst regular starters in the rotation.

Coaches voted for 10 players in rank order, with a first-place vote worth 10 points, a second-place vote worth nine points, on down to a 10th-place vote being worth one point. The top 10 players were named all-SCAC and any player beyond the top 10 that received votes were named honorable mention.
