JACKSON, Miss. -- The temporary loss of Emiliy Stewart has proven to be very costly as Belhaven defeated the Lady Majors 7-2. 

Katie Anderson and Beth Piraino got the Lady Majors off to a good start winning the first doubles match 8-5 and giving the Lady Majors a 1-0 lead.  Beth Sadler and Leslie Frese, playing only their second match together, lost by a score of 9-7 to Collen Christie and Jerusha Seale to even the score at one doubles match a piece.  Kirby Smith and Mayra Prado put the Lady Blazers up 2-1 with a win over Hillary Hamblen and Mia Cowgill 8 sets to 2.

Kirby Smith increased the lead to 3-1 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Hillary Hamblen at number one.  Katie Anderson narrowed the score to 3-2 with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Colleen Christie at #2.  Soon after Mayra Prado defeated Mia Cowgill at #3 6-0, 6-0 and the Blazers never looked back. 

Leslie Frese fell to Elise Entzenberger 6-1, 6-0, Beth Sadler fell to Courtney Coleman 6-4, 6-3 and finally Beth Piraino lost in the last match of the day to Neely Johnson 6-3, 6-0. The Lady Majors are now 4-9, 0-1.
