- On
the much anticipated “PAC the HAC” promotional
night on Tuesday, the Majors fell to cross-town rival Belhaven
College in front of an exciting crowd of 140 in the Hall Activities
Center.
Millsaps (7-9,
1-3 SCAC) just couldn’t get
things going, as the Blazers took advantage of 26 errors to top
the Majors 30-26,
30-21 and 30-11.
Senior Colleen Kelly led the Majors with seven kills and six digs,
while Kim Fox chipped in with three kills and Toni Manley contributed
with two.
Millsaps will conclude its seven-game homestand this weekend,
when they play host to Freed-Hardeman at 7 p.m. in the Hangar Dome.
The Majors next home match will be a rematch with Division I foe
Alcorn State on Thursday, Oct. 12 followed by a rematch with Wesley
College on Oct. 13. Both contests are slated for a 7 p.m. start.
