JACKSON
-- After
falling to Belhaven College 3-0 on "PAC the HAC" night back on Sept.
26, Millsaps will get a shot at redemption tonight when they
head to the campus of Belhaven for a 7 p.m. rematch.
Last time out,
the Majors fell 26-30, 21-30 and 11-30 to the Blazers.
To date, the crowd for the Sept. 26 meeting between the two teams
on the Millsaps campus has been the largest of the season for the
Majors. Millsaps supporters will have the opportunity
to travel less than a mile for a "road game" when
they face off on Thursday.
Seniors Colleen
Kelly and Kim Fox led the offensive attack in the previous meeting,
combining for 10 of the 13 total team kills,
while Toni Manley and Ani Babinski chipped in the other three. Freshman
libero Dixie Krauss also added a team-high three service aces.
Defensively for the Majors, Manley picked up three solo blocks and
added two digs, while Kelly and Krauss each
added six digs.
Millsaps will continue to play its remaining games of the season
on the road, as they travel to Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 3-5 to compete
in the SCAC Western Divisional Tournament.
