in Classics the weekend of April 8th and 9th which will gather students
and professors from eight other colleges.

Indian Dance Concert
Classical Studies
co-sponsored an ancient Indian dance performance. See the
beautiful photos of "Abhinaya Hela" a solo performance
by Sasikala Penumarthi, one of the world's leading performers
and teachers of Kachipudi dance.
The
Lysistrata Project at Millsaps
The Classical Studies Department organized Millsaps' involvement in the
Lysistrata Project, a world-wide initiative which staged readings of
Aristophanes' ancient Greek comedy, Lysistrata, on March 3rd, 2003 as
a way to reflect on war and peace.
