IF
YOUR SCHEDULE PREVENTS YOU FROM ARRIVING ON CAMPUS BEFORE
11 A.M.,
CALL
THE STUDENT LIFE OFFICE (601-974-1200)
TO LET THEM KNOW YOUR
STUDENT WILL BE LATE CHECKING IN!
THE STUDENT LIFE OFFICE WILL WORK WITH YOU
TO MAKE THE MOVE-IN
AS EASY AS POSSIBLE!
To avoid congestion,
we ask that you unload your vehicle in the designated areas to which
you will be directed. Parents Council traffic directors will be
wearing bright orange vests -- they will see that you are in the
best place for your residence hall unloading.
Once your vehicle
is unloaded, move it to the south campus so that others may unload.
The Parents Council provides "taxi service" in the form
of golf carts to bring parents back to the residence halls from
south campus.
On Saturday
at 2 p.m., after your student is settled in, President Frances
Lucas will welcome parents of new students in the Bob and
Dee Leggett Center, located in the Campbell College Center,
for a "come-as-you-are" gathering. We
will have cooooool drinks and a few sweets ready for
your enjoyment.
We look forward to meeting
you on this exciting day. Please call the Office of Parent
Relations (601-974-1483) or e-mail Kay
Barksdale if you have any questions or need assistance.
****Early Arrivals ****
Football

halls after they are cleared with the coaches.
Foundations
leaders, dance team, cheerleaders, fall athletic teams,
etc., are tentatively scheduled to move in at 9 a.m. on
Saturday, August 18. Students may arrive any time during that
time period!
**********
Follow the move-in time schedule assigned
to your student.
Please do not arrive early! However, if you cannot get to the
campus until after 11 a.m., contact the office of Student Life (601-974-1200)
for late arrival information.
MOVE-IN DAY TIPS
Label ALL boxes and large items with name, residence
hall and room number. Use masking tape and markers to be sure identity
is clear. Boxes can be misplaced and switched with so many coming
in at one time. Labels help!
