Required for Financial Aid
The 2009–2010 Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online after January 1, 2009, at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Use PINs for electronic signatures
or mail any required signatures to the federal processor.
If you did not receive a PIN, request a PIN (parents
and students) at www.pin.ed.gov to sign the FAFSA electronically.
Required for Specific Scholarships & Grants
Methodist Scholarships
If you are a Methodist student, request or print online the Millsaps
Application for United Methodist Scholarships (page 1, page
2). Other outside scholarships may be available from the United
Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry or United
Methodist Higher Education Foundation.
Sumners Grant
If you are a permanent legal resident of Attala, Carroll, Choctaw,
Montgomery, or Webster counties, complete the Sumners
Grant Application online.
Mississippi Scholarships and Grants
Complete the 2009-2010 Mississippi Student Financial Aid Scholarship
Application online at www.ihl.state.ms.us/financialaid/ after January 1, 2009.

When to Apply
The priority deadline for financial aid is March
1, 2009. Most of the information required on the FAFSA will come from
the
2008 tax return. Therefore, an applicant should complete the FAFSA after
January 1, when all pertinent tax information has been gathered. If you
are unable to complete tax returns by March 1, you should make estimates on the financial aid forms in order to meet the March 1 priority deadline.
