Associate Professor of History
Sanford Zale teaches a series of courses in European history (Ancient History, Medieval history, Renaissance and Reformation, Early Modern European History) as well as courses in intellectual history (Philosophy of History, History of History). A medievalist, he specializes in 14th- and 15th-century historiography. He has published several articles dealing with historical writing in late-medieval France, and is currently working on a book on that topic.
