3 Point Shoot-Out

RULES/GUIDELINES

Eligibility:
In order to participate in an intramural sports activity, all participants must present one of the following forms of identification to the activity supervisor prior to the contest. Acceptable forms of ID are:
A. Current Millsaps College student I.D.
B. Current faculty/staff I.D.

Equipment:
Official contest basketballs will be provided by the Intramural Department.

Three Point Contest Rules

1. This contest will be held in the Hall Activities Center.

2. Each participant will shoot a total of 25 shots from behind the three-point arc.

3. The contest will consist of each participant shooting 5 balls from 5 designated areas behind the three point arc.

4. The basket will be considered good if the shooter does not cross or come in contact with the three point arc while in the process of shooting and if the ball goes in the basket.

5. Each basket will be worth one point with the exception of the fifth ball at each area. Every fifth ball/shot will be worth a possible two points.

6. Rebounders will be provided by the Intramural Department.

***The Intramural Office Reserves the right to put into effect any new ruling regarding Intramural policies and unsportsmanlike conduct.
