February 8, 2007

The second semester has been underway now for a few weeks, and I have to admit that I have enjoyed every minute of it.  This semester has already proven to hold very important learning experiences that I will never forget.

I work as a youth director at a local church, and the program is really starting to grow.   And I have to thank Millsaps for helping me get the job.  Without the help of the Chaplain and support of other organizations, this opportunity would have never come about.  But I am so glad that it did.  It is really putting a lot of things in perspective for me, including how I would like to approach what I do with the rest of my life.  And I am so excited about working with my art.  I had my Junior Review yesterday with a few of the art professors, and it was a really good chance to talk about what I was trying to do with my art and where exactly I wanted to take it.  I can't wait to start getting some different things started.

I guess life is just all around peachy right now.  I have more chances to hang out with my friends this semester, and more time to do things that I haven’t really had the chance to do in a long time.  I hope that things stay at the pace they are right now.  I am still involved with a lot of things, but they have become so much more enjoyable now that I have had the chance to figure out how to balance all of it.  The college life is really good right now.  I just wish that I never had to leave this place, because it has really become my home.
