The expression “as slow as Christmas” seems to really mean a lot the week of finals. That week, and the week before honestly, seem to drag by. I hardly made it home at all this semester and that month long vacation could not come soon enough.
I’m officially half-way through my third year at Millsaps and it seems so surreal that I’m now closer to the end than the beginning. Grades came this week and they also put things into perspective. I only have three semesters left to get myself in position for the rest of my life! I know it seems melodramatic to put it that way but it’s about time I start researching grad schools, or jobs, and cleaning up my resume.
On the less stressful side, next semester’s classes seem promising and I can’t wait for some of them. I have wanted to take sign language since I was in high school and now I finally have the chance. French, however, may be a bit of a struggle. And after two and a half years, I finally feel like I know what is going on in my English classes. Maybe I will actually be ready for comps next year …
