The Millsaps Room, on the third floor of the library, is a board room style with a large table which seats 20. Computer, projection equipment and a touch panel were installed in Spring 2013. This equipment includes: projector, projection screen, computer with wireless mouse and keyboard, sound system, connection for a laptop to the projector, connection of a laptop to the wireless computer network. There is no white board in this room, but a flip chart with pens can be set up if needed. Contact the library at 601-974-1070 or email@example.com to reserve the room. Library Computer Lab, also called the Computer Instruction Room
This computer lab has 28 computers for students and an instructor computer/projection set up. Contains a collection of works by and about Eudora Welty. This room has a table and four chairs and can be used by study groups. No reservations required.
The Engel Room houses the Engel collection and may also be reserved as an classroom or group meeting room. It seats 16 people and the tables and chairs may be rearranged. This room has a TV, DVD and VCR. The Engel room also has a projection screen, but does not normally have a laptop or LCD projector in it. Contact the library at 601-974-1070 or email@example.com to reserve the room. Can be reserved for academic classes via the records office. Be sure to let the library know if a laptop or LCD projector is needed.
Has a 'region free' DVD player, TV and large white board. Room 316 may be reserved as an audiovisual classroom or group meeting room. Seats 12.
Virginia M. Riggs Reading Room

Mrs. Virginia Mayfield Riggs received her BA from Millsaps in 1940 and an MA in Library Science from the University of Denver in 1953. She was a librarian at Sunflower Junior College and in the Jackson Public Schools until 1956 when she became Library Director at Hinds Community College, a position she held until her retirement in 1976.Marvin A. Riggs received his BA degree from Millsaps College in 1933, his MA in history from the University of Alabama in 1947, and his M. Ed., from the University of Denver in 1953. He was principal of Utica High School until enlisting in the Army in World War II and serving as a Chief Warrant Officer. Mr. Riggs had a distinguished career as a teacher and Dean at Sunflower Junior College (now Mississippi Delta Community College), and at Hinds Community College where he taught history and social sciences from 1955 until his retirement in 1976.Mrs. Riggs' long and distinguished career as a Librarian and educator is fittingly honored by this beautiful reading room and study rooms made possible by a generous gift from Mr. Riggs.
The Riggs Reading Room is available for reading and study and may be reserved for meetings.
