Steve Battista, Senior Vice President - Creative for Under Armour, will be the featured speaker during the Else School of Management Fall 2012 Forum on Oct. 4 at 8:30 a.m. at Millsaps College. He will speak in the Leggett Special Events Center located on the Millsaps campus. "Protect This House: Building Brands From the Bottom Up" will focus on launching a brand from the early days to breaking through the billion dollar mark.

As the recently named senior vice president of creative, Battista oversees the look, feel, sound and voice of the Under Armour brand. He spent three years as senior vice president of brand marketing, overseeing domestic and international communications, including brand marketing, advertising, public relations, marketing communications, product integration, events and sponsorships.
As the "Voice of the Brand," Battista leads an in-house team on creative and oversees external creative agencies. His writing and creative credits include the brand's iconic and award-winning "We Must Protect This House" campaign in 2003:
And its "Click-Clack" campaign that launched Under Armour into footwear in 2006:
He orchestrated the "Are You From Here?" launch into basketball, which was named the best campaign of 2011 by the urban culture publication, Dime magazine:
Battista has received numerous awards for advertising and marketing. He earned his B.A. from Towson University in 1996 and his M.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 2000.
