Pianist Esther Park has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals across the United States as well as in Korea, Russia and Israel. Ms. Park has appeared as soloist with the New Jersey Symphony, the Juilliard Symphony, Corpus Christi Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Glens Falls Symphony, the Connecticut Virtuosi Orchestra, the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica del Festival di Chioggia, the Hilton Head Orchestra, the Pusan City Orchestra, and the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony. Performances as soloist with US orchestras this season include Prokofiev's 3rd piano concerto with the New Jersey Symphony.
Ms. Park gave a five-city recital tour in Korea, including a concert at the Pusan City Hall in Pusan, and she has performed at the Juilliard Theater in NYC, the Eastman Theater in Rochester, NY, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Halls' Weill Recital Hall, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Steinway Hall, the Square Temple in Salt Lake City, UT and on the Gum-Ho Music society's Prodigy Series. She has appeared at the Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara), the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Maine, the Shandelee Music Festival, the Tel-Hai International Music Festival in Israel, and the Van Cliburn-TCU Institute in Texas. Ms. Park has been heard in New York on WQXR Radio station as the winner of the 52nd Kosciusko International Competition.
Ms. Park won the first prize at the 52nd Kosciusko International Piano Competition. She won first prize at the Juilliard Concerto Competition, 53rd Wideman Competition, 2001 Eastman International Piano Competition the Van Cliburn-TCU Institute Young Artist Competition, Corpus Christi International Competition, top prizes at the Johanna Hodges International Piano Competition, Hilton Head International Competition, the 14th New Orleans International Piano Competition, the New York Piano Competition, New Jersey Young Artist Competition, and is the recipient of the President Clinton's Prodigy Award.
Born in Pusan, Korea in 1984, Ms. Park began to play in public soon after her first piano lessons at the age of four. Ms. Park moved to the United States in 1995, after being accepted to the Juilliard School's Pre-College division. Ms. Park is currently studying with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Juilliard School, where she is currently a full scholarship student. She has performed in master classes of Arie Vardi, Richard Goode, Andrew Litton, Joachin Achuccaro, Nelita True, Thomas Schumacher and Karl Ulrich Schnabel.
