Looking for a unique gift for a friend or relative? Consider giving a non-credit class that is part of the Millsaps College Winter Enrichment classes.
Seventy-four fun and useful noncredit classes for adults are being offered, with many classes starting Jan. 26. Most classes meet four to six times total, one night a week, on campus. Some classes are held at off-campus locations, and Saturday workshops are also available.
Among the new classes offered for winter are a Hot Topics conference on the Israel/Palestine issue, Nature Journaling and the Private Eye™, Adoption – Is It Right for You?, Pride and Prejudice in Context, Reading for a Winter’s Day, Antiques for Dummies, and Feng Shui the Southern Way. There will also be two one-night medical history lectures.
Continuing favorite classes are offered, too, including watercolor painting, backyard astronomy, intro to ballroom dancing, belly dancing for fitness, t’ai chi, yoga, travel adventures, genealogy,
writing and selling short stories, gardening, landscape design, and many others.
Check the class descriptions on the web page http://www.millsaps.edu/conted/enrichment/courses_topic.shtml or call the Continuing Education Office at 601-974-1131 for a brochure.
