Mr. Babbitt, a native son of Jackson, will return to celebrate and talk with us. Papers will be read and presentations given by notable Babbitt scholars, including Andrew Mead and Stephen Peles. The conference will include performances by pianist Robert Taub, guitarist William Anderson, flutist John McMurtery, and the ACS new music ensemble Luna Nova (Helen Kim, violin / Craig Hultgren, cello / Adam Bowles, piano), conducted by James Romig.
