	GRADING Your grade will be based upon the following: Class Participation 10% Attendance 20% Quizzes 10% Written Assignments 10% Unit Exams 50% Class Participation and Attendance Policy Students are expected to attend all lectures for this course and participate in class discussions on the daily assignments. We will not meet during the fourth hour period (Thursday, 8:00 a.m.). I instead expect that you will use this and many more hours for the outside reading and listening assignments. Students who miss a session will be allowed to make up work for a maximum of 2 missed classes to avoid any grade reduction in their attendance grade. A written make-up assignment will be given and is expected to be completed within two class sessions from the absence date. It is your responsibility to come and ask me for the make-up assignment If you miss an exam, you will not be allowed to make it up! You have all of the dates on this syllabus. Be sure to mark them in your calendar.
