PAPER REQUIREMENTS

Everyone is required to attend one (1) musical event during the semester and write a follow-up paper which is due no later than one week after the event. The paper should be approximately 300 words in length and should describe your experience at the event, a musical review. The focus of the paper should primarily be about the music and how the composer uses the piano. There will be several opportunities throughout the semester to attend concerts. I will be happy to make suggestions if you would like. I would prefer that you attend a concert or recital that includes piano.

NOTE: Piano Concentrators must write a second concert report (your choice of concert). It must be 500 words in length and should go more in depth than the paper above. Please include your general reaction to the performers' presentation of this program.
