ATTENDANCE AND GRADING POLICIES

MISSED LESSONS AND CLASSES: No more than 2 unexcused absences are allowed per semester. If you have to miss a lesson, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance! My time is always at a premium and sometimes if I know I have a break, I can squeeze in a rehearsal into someone else's time slot. I'm happy to make a change when we can find another time. If I have to miss, I will be sure to make up your lesson. Any unannounced and unexcused missed lessons will not be made up. And please remember, Repertoire Class is required.

GRADE DISTRIBUTION

Lessons - 50% Always be prepared! Bring your music and notebook for assignments.
Rep. Class - 20% Based on preparation, performance, and class participation
Paper - 10% Without the paper, your grade will be reduced by a letter grade.
Practice logs - 10% My record of your outside work.
Jury - 10% Performance and Presentation
