REQUIRED MATERIALS 1. Music: Students are expected to purchase scores as I assign them. Some of the textbooks I will assign may be available in the Millsaps Bookstore. Another source will be The Music Box music store which is located in northeast Jackson. But if a score is not available there, then online purchase of music is also extremely easy. A highly recommended website for music is Burt & Company at http://www.burtnco.com. You may call them at 1-800-548-2878 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Mon-Fri (8-5, Sat). You may use photocopies only if availability is a problem (out of print, etc.), or temporarily until the score you ordered arrives. 2. Notebook:
Bring a notebook (spiral or loose leaf) to weekly lessons for a record of comments
on repertoire, and other instructions. Please number all measures (lightly, in
pencil) in your personal copy of music, to facilitate comments in your notebook.
