Music History & Literature III & IV

RESEARCH PAPERS


Two research papers will be written over the course of the semester, one due at the end of MUSC 3122, another at the end of 3132. The first should have relevance to Western music from the Classical period through Romanticism (the late 19th century).

NOTE: This is an academic research paper. You may use the Internet ONLY for scholarly sources, such as articles found in academic journals through databases such as RILM (see Millsaps Library links). If you do find a scholarly source online that you would like to use, please consult me.

Expected length: 8-12 pp. of text (not counting title pg., Bibliography)

REGARDING PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is intellectual theft and will not be tolerated. Academic dishonesty is a violation of the college Honor Code. Clear evidence of such will result in procedures that bring the student to the attention of the Honor Council. You are responsible for knowing what plagiarism is and how to avoid it.
