The
required term paper is an 8- to 10-page document examining the music
of a particular composer or school of composers. Your paper should
demonstrate
how the intelligent use of LaRue's style analysis techniques can
illuminate the study of a well-defined area of the music literature.
The best papers will arrive at interesting conclusions about the
music, unforeseen when the writer began the study.
If
you major is not music, you may write a paper from a wider context,
relating it to you area of interest. See me for advice.
