| Millsaps College and Image Hosting
Conference on Southern Art, Literature, and Religion Millsaps College and Image: A Journal of the Arts & Religion are hosting a four-day conference featuring some of todays most outstanding novelists, poets, musicians, artists, and scholars of the American South. In addition to talks and readings, the conference will include performances, concerts, an art exhibit, and an ecumenical worship service. The Conference, entitled Carried to the Heart: Faith and Doubt in Contemporary Southern Art and Letters, will feature scholar Robert Brinkmeyer, writerminister Will D. Campbell, poet Andrew Hudgins, writer Randall Kenan, scholar Susan Ketchin, novelist Ann Patchett, singer-songwriter Pierce Pettis, photographer Tom Rankin, playwright Alfred Uhry, minister Dolphus Weary, gallery owner Marcia Weber, singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams, poet Miller Williams, scholar Charles Reagan Wilson, documentary film director Markus Wittmann, and others.
