Search Is Proceeding on Target The Presidential Search Committee met on September 17 and, working with its consultant to the search, completed a screening exercise, which marked the beginning of candidate review. The Committee then met on October 27 and narrowed the total pool to a group of approximately twelve to fifteen individuals whose candidacies the Committee would like to pursue in greater depth. The Committee will conduct intensive reference checks on each candidate and from this process will select a smaller number who will be invited to meet with the Committee at an off-campus site in early December. After these interviews, approximately three candidates will be invited to the Millsaps campus in early January for meetings with representatives of the campus community.
