Kenya and
Tanzania (Photo on immediate left) The migration of animals takes almost a year from the Serengeti Plains to the Masai Mara. The wildebeest and zebra cross the Masai River over an eight-day period. Millions of them stand waiting for one to get up enough nerve to cross the river. They stand there for hours, false start after false start. Then finally one makes it. Their livelihood centers around raising cattle. Many young Masai now attend school and work in cities. PREVIOUS PAGE | PAGE 3 OF 6 | NEXT PAGE |
