Beeler Wins
National Accounting Award Dr. Jesse D. Beeler, Associate Professor of Accounting at the Else School of Management, received the Notable Contribution to Accounting Information Systems Award for 2000. The honor, presented by the American Accounting Association, was announced at the associations annual meeting in Philadelphia, Pa., in August. The award was presented to Beeler in recognition of a study conducted by him and a colleague that explored the benefits of user involvement in the design of information technology systems. The purpose of the award is to recognize research of exceptional merit in the field of accounting information systems.
